I am new to Zbrush. I am modeling a microscopic structure of burned wood. Now I am creating structures of paralel cellules by alpha and dragRect and I was wondering If there is a way how to keep the effect of a brush in one direction (e.g. Y, X or Z) instead of sculpting perpendiculary to surface normal. I would be greatful for any tip how to do that.
Hi dyzajn, you can always look into “Picker” palette for this function 
You can specify the direction of the brush stroke normal compare to continuously following the surface normal.
Haven’t use it before in my project, but I read somewhere about this functionality.
