Model creates gaps when group split into subtools?

Hi,
I have been trying to split my model into 3 sections .This way I can increase the poly count for each piece according to the amount of detail I will need in each section. So I selected each section and hit “group visible” until I had 3 different groups.
I then “split groups” into subtools. The issue is when I increase poly count for each section ,(after they are in subtools)

Problem:
The model has a space (gap) between each group section. Even if I subdivide each piece to the same sub d level.

Anyone know how to split your model into sections so you can increase poly WITHOUT these gaps?

Thanks!

Sounds like you’ll want to crease the open edges before subdividing the different parts to prevent the creased edges from moving during subdivision (note that you can still create gaps by sculpting over such areas, so it is wise to either split the model in places that are naturally split, or at least in areas hidden by other objects).

Ok I Will try that, thanks a lot!

EDIT:
Just tried it and it worked perfectly.

Thanks again!
