Missing UI on startup

Ever since I made a custom menu in zbrush I have had this error. all of the tools are missing , or at least invisible.

I have uninstalled , reinstalled, reset computer after installing and uninstalling, as well as deleting all zbrush associated files. And even after all of that every time I open zbrush the UI still has missing tools. Im not quite sure what to do.

It’s because the Simple Brush is selected. If you select a different Tool you will see different choices that apply to that Tool. For example, the PolyMesh3D Tool.

Hi,

I know this is quite an old topic, but it is the only one that remotely goes into the direction of my problem. I hope nobody minds me resurrecting it!

I know about the ui elements that are only visibile with certain brushes and how other elements turn invisible. My problem is that when I installed the 3D Print Hub plugin the older plugin was removed. Now various elements in my custom menu turned invisible as the plugin is gone. How can I remove these inivisible ui elements or substitute them from the new plugin?

You’ll have to recreate your UI I’m afraid :frowning: You’re welcome to use mine as a starting point. Link below post, you can also search for posts. Happy New Year

I feared it would turn out like this, but I already prepared for it. Thank you for your answer, Doug Jones! Happy New Year to you too.

Oh dear lord, OP, thank you this thread and Aurick for that answer.

I’m here 4 years later and panicked when I opened ZBrush to find my custom menu gone / blank and not reappearing when I restored my UI, etc. Thought I’d have to rebuild it! SO glad this came up in a google search.
