Missing Polygons (illusion)

When I import certain .obj files into zbrush I end up getting the following result.

Zbrush left, Maya right.

Now the issue is that I get the illusion that some polygons are missing…(but they really aren’t, because I can export that object from zbrush and open it in maya and there will be nothing wrong with the mesh.

Is it my crappy integrated graphics card? or…

Well you need to upload your image rather than linking it from someplace else. But at a guess I suspect you have flipped normals. Do the polygons reappear if you turn on Tool>Display Properties>Double?
