mismatch points order no UV's imported

I get the mismatched points (and auto-corrected) message after importing an OBJ with it’s zTool loaded. But all I did was export my zTool at it’s lowest subdiv, and edit its UV Maps in Max, then import it with my zTool selected. As a result, the ztool maintains the original un-edited UV’s. Any idea why this is happening? Does editing the UV Maps cause this issue?

Actually, I exported, edited UV’s in Headus, arranged them in Max, and then imported. After cutting Max out of the equation, the issue is gone…

You can clic on the Cycle UV button in the Tool >> UV Map menu to reorder your UVs after importing from Max… or export from max, directly reimport in max and export again

That doesn’t seem to be working so hot. I’m not sure if the cycle UV button is doing anything. I exported the OBJ, re-imported and re-exported, but that didn’t seem to change anything. Any ideas why?

Isn’t it a legitimate process? Sculpt detail, export low res mesh, uv-map, import?

it is a fine workflow.

max doesn’t play well with Z since autodesk bought mudbox…go figure.

anyway, export the object from Z. Import into max, convert to ePoly, convert to eMesh, convert to ePoly. UV, export.

import into Z. all should be well.

Test it on a box or two before you do it up on your actual sculpt.
