Mismatch point-order - Error importing UVs

I am using Zbrush4 and Maya 2008.

I exported my SubD1 .obj to Maya (not using GoZ), created my UVs, and exported a new .obj. Then I opened my tool in Zbrush, stored a morph target on lowest SubD level and tried to import the new .obj with the UVs and I get the following message:

Mismatch point-order in the imported mesh was detected and auto-corrected

The UVs do not come in. I did not edit the model in any way while it was in maya.

I saw someone else had this issue but with Max, their solution did not help me.

Thanks for your time.

To preface, I’m no expert on UV mapping quite yet. That said, I’m curious as to what you needed the morph target for? I think the UV’s will all come in properly without it.

I believe you are correct. I think it used to be required to create a morph target before importing the .obj. The steps I followed said to use the morph target, though I tried with and without and it made no difference with the problem I was having.

I received an answer for this problem from someone at Pixologic a few days ago and their solution worked perfectly.

When you import the OBJ into Maya, make sure that the “Create Multiple Objects” option is turned off or set to False. This should be a setting in Maya’s import options

Very cool. Thanks for the extra info.
