Mirroring/posing workflow layers?

Hi guys,

A quick question about the workflow I should be using if I want to pose a character and then sculpt it like this sticky tutorial from the tutorials thread: http://www.zbrushcentral.com/zbc/showthread.php?t=64115

I have a symmetrical model of a human that I’ve posed to be sitting down using masks and the move tool. I want to start sculpting on the model as its sat down but using symmetry.
Now i’m working on the face and i need it to be symmetrical but its face is off-center so symmetry won’t work because i’ve already posed it.

I have seen this being done in a tutorial and i think it might be accompished using layers? do you create a layer before posing and then turn it off to sculpt the face? it there another option i’ve looked over? shall i just do each side of the face by eye?

i’ve always posed at the end of modelling so i could use symmetry right through, how do you guys do it?

missed a button

transform>“use posable symmetry”

hold ctrl over the button for the tooltip and read what it says.
just remember it has to be turned on when you step up and down…so just dock the panel and you should be all set.

Some times it has problems though…so it may, or may not work.

Thank you so much for the tip goast!,
I’ll try it out and let you know how I get on, i’m sure this will be it though.
