"Mirror and Water" project

I am the concept designer and Senior 3D modeler at “Mirror and Water” project and wanted to share with you a cool project our team has been working on for the Melal Boutique mall.

The “mirror and water” was a design/build sculpture project in which we used traditional and digital sculpting methods.

Zbrush was used for creating all of our concepts and digital sculpture which were then 3d printed or cut on a CNC machine.

Ghoratollah Agheli -famous sculptor in Iran - was the project manager in this project. I’d like to express my appreciation for all of his support.

First we took some photos as refrence

Then I refined silhouettes

I started my work in Zbrush using“Mannequin”.
Next I started trying to find main forms and proportions
I used “Desimination Master” and “Mask Brush” to create several concepts in a short time.

One of the concepts was accepted and 3d printed.

After the client’s acceptance the project entered into construction phases.
First we made a 1:1 Styrofoam model by cnc machine. The reason was to create a guidance for placing sheets on the correct place in order to be welded properly.

Zbrush model was exported to rhino and converted to nurbs surfaces so that prepare them for laser cutting.sculpture approximitely consists of 500 pieces.
