Hi!

I just want to share my latest freetime work. I made it with maya and Zbrush of course

Very nice work…

Is that a ring on her finger? seems to be a dark patch there.

Yes! This is a ring on her finger with a dark red rubin.

OOH! beautiful! Could you post your wiremesh and some of the process?

Beautiful hands!

And of course, nice velvet!

She looks good, nice job.

simply amazing shaders on the velvet and especially the lace.

Really freakin nice. This should be in the Zbrush gallery. I really don’t know what pixologic’s gallery criteria is though. It seems to vary as I have seen excellent work to not very strong work in the gallery. Seems like a crap shoot. But anyway this is definitely gallery quality aside from the ring thing that some have mentioned.

Nice, but the left hand looks weird a bit. The face need some expression, and I’d change the lighting a bit, maybe some more contrast?

This is absolutely outstanding work. Top Row, nothing less!:+1:

Nice job! One suggestion - the lace frill at the top of the skirt looks a bit regular, the folds in it are too similar, thus a lack of randomness that is present in real life. Also, the hand on the skirt, although entirely possible in reality, does look a little stiff. A good model, with a few improvements could become an incredible one! All in all - really cool!

THis is breathtaking. I disagree about her not having expression. She has a very stern strong look about her that goes well with the confident posture.

I agree. Her expression is perfect for the certain type of character she appears to be. Again, this is top row material if nothing else!

How did you achieve that fantastic velvet look of the dress, btw?

Hi!

well I didn’t want to make a happy or sade face for her. I just played her eyes like a tipical portrait.

highlander_72 The velvet effect what I used on her dress is a little trick with maya blinn shader (I don’t know how does it work in another softwares). It is very simple and usefull. I just set the specular eccentricity value to negative like this picture:

Great!

Thanks a lot for the insight!:+1:

Great character! Makes me want to go to the horse races,ha! Also, thanks for the tip on the Blinn shader, that’s awesome!

Your wellcome!

A very good work, congretulation.

I totally agree with highlander, don’t change anything on the female-model, face-expression, lighting or skin.
It is perfect for the very style you intended to do.
Not every work has to be 100% photorealistic in all aspects.
The work is perfect as it is.
Don’t ruin it with changes.
Maybe the only slight change that would round it up could be if you add some slight wrinkles or shape-variations of the cloth on her left upper body.
This area is a bit too smooth and flat and could need some slight shadows from cloth-wrinkles.
But beside that, perfect.

5 stars and top row from my vote.:+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1:
