Hey all,
This is a character model I created for improvement in general skill sets.

Spec: Zbrush polypaint was mainly used for 75% of the textures and rest is zapplink for base skin texture. Modeling and rendering was done in Z-brush and Mental Ray. Skin shader is of course Zapps fast skin shader. 10 maps per uv set for the skin meshes, some effects didn't come out right but kinda hard to control all these effects perfectly. Superb! I was hoping you would show more of this guy (maybe not THAT much after all hehe). Could you write something about the shader and texturing? The skin is great. Congratulations.

I’m amazed that people complain about showing some genitalia. Personally it pains me when otherwise fantastic models get their balls cut off/blurred/hidden. It makes it look unfinished somehow.

I find this quite superb work, including the “private bits”. As slight criticism I’d say the wings look a bit too heavy and “meaty”. I think the skinfolds should have somewhat smoother surface and perhaps be a tad more translucent if that can be helped. Other than that it’s most excellent.

I for one wasn’t complaining. Just joking;] Like the other guys probably. He would look ridiculous in underwear, and I see no reason to castrate the poor bastard :smiley: He’s suffered enough already. It’s funny how people are so sensitive about nudity. Especially since i live in Poland which is considered to be medieval about these things, and I am yet to meet a person who finds it a problem :smiley:

The person asking to hide the nads is 15 years old and from Morocco… I think his modesty is understandable. Personally, I have zero problem with any of it.

As for the model, I think it is amazing. I love the expression in his face; the pain, the anguish, the wisdom. The wings do look a bit heavy for flight, but that is such a minor critique. Maybe like the ostrich or the kiwi, he is not meant to fly anymore. Maybe that’s why he looks so ticked off. The battle scars are quite painful to look at as well. Overall, I really really like this. 5 stars.

I guess some people just too immature, considering nude female models are not censored on here. I was going cover his crotch with cloth but I wanted a raw feel.

I updated two last images, admin will have to re-hide them since couldn’t workout how to link local images to internal links.
