Microsoft Surface Go Not Recognized

I recently purchased a new Microsoft Surface Go and love it, however, Zbrush does not recognize it. Under Preferences/Tablet the sliders are all dimmed out. I made sure to use Global Settings under the Brushes Pallette. I tried going to Microsoft and seeing if they had updated drivers but all I found was for the Surface Pro. Is this a firmware issue being that the device is new? If so, do you think they will eventually update it to work with Zbrush. If it’s not going to work with Zbrush I may consider returning it. Thanks for any info.

I’m not sure if we are talking about same machine, but if I’m reading right about specs 4gb ram ? intel graphic ? this machine even if would work with zbrush i really doubt you will go over 500k polys without crashing…

i have the 8gb version. i have tested this machine out pretty well and i love it. Right now i have chrome, photoshop, sketchbook, zbrush, all open and have no lag sculpting on a 2 million poly model. Pen pressure works on all the apps i have tested it on, except Zbrush. Hoping i can find a fix.

Also, i have watched many reviews on the Microsoft Surface Go 4gb version and feel confident that most of these reviewers forget to turn off battery saving performance. I have not tested the 4gb version but believe it would do just fine for the casual user considering the smoothness of the 8gb version.

ZBrush needs the drivers to be written using the WinTab API. See if the following link will help you.

Oh Wow! That worked!
I searched for hours for a solo install of WinTab without any luck.
Thank you so much for taking the time to help me!
Zbrush is the best app ever and i wouldn’t want to miss out on all the fun!

No problem! Glad it worked.

well I’m glad I was wrong
