Hi is there a way to save a plane insert brush with a micromesh so the micromesh renders every time i use the plane on a object or u have to select the micromesh everytime? thanks
I don’t think you can save a micromesh object with a plane and then apply it using an InsertMesh brush. What you could do is:
- Create a plane that is a single polygon.
- Apply the plane to an InsertMesh brush.
- Use the InsertMesh brush you have just created to add the plane numerous times to your sculpt.
- Break the sculpt into separate subtools using Groups Split. As the planes will all be one polygroup they will form a single subtool. (Make sure your sculpt is a single polygroup if you don’t want it split into several subtools.)
- For the planes subtool, apply a micromesh object, make sure Render>Render Properties>Draw MicroMesh is turned on and do a BPR render.
HTH,
thats what I have been doing but thanks for clearing that up
