I decided to break the underarmor out instead of having just one mesh - mostly for more detail on the over armor as subtools.

One thing to keep in mind is where you put the parts. Try and match the poly groups yes not easy to do. But this is some of your best stuff.
Add some more to it, it is starting to show some potential. Anywho…I was playing with different matcap renders in photoshop, tweaking the blending options from 1 to the next and poof I ended up with this.
