Messing about with ZSpheres

Hello all,

Sorry about the rubbish title lol. I made the base mesh for this character completely out of zspheres, sculpted the basic forms and finally moved onto the high res detail sculpting before polypainting the skin tones by hand.

I then did some postwork in photoshop (e.g. I painted in the flowing hair at the back of the head and I also painted in more details to the eyes) before adding a few colour adjustment and lighting adjustment layers.

I am on a bit of a high at the moment as I have just received a place on a 3D animation degree course which starts at the end of the year and I am getting in some practice before I go and having a lot of fun along the way.

Cheers for taking the time to look.

wow, thats really good. I like the colors you used. :+1:

Thank you very much mate, I appreciate it  . I plan to work on it a little more.

The color range is very nice. I like when something is almost monohrome in it’s tones. I just wonder why the mesh is visible??

Cheers for the comment. The simple answer to why the mesh is visible is probably down to not enough subdivisions. Cheers again.

it could be shader foult too…

Nope. Trust me mate, it’s because I am a muppet and didn’t subdivide it enough lol! There’s nothing too technical about the problem except for my own foolishness lol!

She’s looking great Minty, only the ridge of her nose feels a little squarish.

Keep it up
