MeshInsert Dot Brush stretching

I really dont know what i am doing wrong here, but every time i use MeshInsert Dot Brush the inserted mesh appears stretched.

I created any tool, turned on Edit, converted it to PolyMesh3D, edited it, opened Preview panel, stored the preview.
Then i created another tool (lets say an sphere 3d), turned on Edit, converted it to PolyMesh3D, opened Brush pallet, picked MeshInsert Dot Brush, opened Brush panel and, inside it, Modifiers panel, clicked on MeshInsert Preview, picked the saved preview and clicked/drag on the sphere: the inserted mesh appears stretched along an axis, and not according the original aspect.

What am i missing??

Not sure what view you’re using, this can make or break you fast. Drag inserts mesh, dragging opposite directon after insert will scale your object. HTH

Have you pressed Alt at all? Pressing Alt allows you to change the proportions of the inserted mesh and those proportions will be carried over to subsequent copies. Hold Ctrl after starting to drag and the mesh’s proportions will be restored (it will also snap to the Draw size - release Ctrl to scale the mesh).

Thank you VERY much, marcus_civis: Ctrl key solved my problem by restoring the mesh proportions. Probably i’ve pressed Alt before and all subsequent copies became stretched. Thank you! :slight_smile:
