mesh with holes

hello
well this is a two piece ( OBJs) imported from maya, with holes. The thing is that when I divide the meshes in ZB, the holes expand !! is this a natural behavior of ZB or is there away to get around it?? or do I need to rebuild the geometry with no holes ??

Before you subdivide, you should crease the border edges, otherwise they will expand a lot on subdision.
