Mesh visibility using Grid Images [Answered]

I want to use the reference grid doohicky. I have my images loaded OK, but wondered if there is a way to have the mesh a little transparent while I’m sculpting otherwise I can’t see the references behind it.

Scratch that, I just found teh option to ‘show in front of mesh’.

Set the Draw palette ‘Fill Mode’ to 3 and then play around with the E Enhance Factor and Opacity sliders.

Ah, that works much better thanks. What’s number 2 for?

0 - reference images OFF but grid shown
1 - reference images at 25% opacity
2 - reference images at 50% opacity

For options 1 & 2 the Front button shows the image in front of the mesh (but the mesh remains at full opacity).

3 - full control over the opacity of the reference images and the mesh using the E Enhance Factor & E Enhance Opacity sliders

Great info thanks.

I have to say I’m loving this feature.

Yes, it is excellent. I especially like the projection edit lines (adjust in Draw>Modifiers>PLine Opacity).
