Hey,
I’ve recently decided to try some hard surface sculpting but things have gone a bit awry :(.
I was modelling my Landraider when I realised that the whole thing (44 subtools) isn’t in the right place.
As you can see… it’s all off to one side. if I click set-pivot on any of the subtools then it takes them nearer the centre but not exactly to the centre (not even if i press it twice) so modelling with symmetry is now impossible. (unless I use the unify on the mesh but then that resizes the subtool.
Is there a way to fix this without having to resize the subtools? i really need to be able to move the whole thing over to the left.
I’ve read that transpose master could be my friend here. Is that the only way?
The reason I ask is that there seems to be another problem to do with either the pivot’s or scale of the objects in that they appear tiny in the preview window. So if I click ‘shadow box’ on a subtool, the shadow box appears enormous. I need a sort of 'freeze transformations" button i guess. or a unify that doesn’t actually resize the subtool… just resets it’s bounds in the preview.
any help would be greatly appreciated. (soz for the poor quality jpeg, but i think it at least illustrates the problem)
cheers
