Mesh Extract question

Hi,

After going through the documentation I can create mesh extractions but then whatever action I take next makes them disappear. I assume there must be some simple action I am supposed to take but I have not been able to figure it out?

Any assistance greatly appreciated, thank you.

Push the “accept” button located right next to thte extract button.
