Mesh Extract Problem?

Hello,

Not sure if I’m doing something silly or not going the right way about it. I’m using ZBrush 4, and opening the “Superaverageman/human” standard asset in ZBrush (I can go up and down subdivisions in “Geometry” as normal) I then apply a mask over the complete character as I want to create a second skin (For clothing as such).

I then extract the mask about 0.2, but my problem now resides that I can’t subdivide that extracted mesh properly. (It subdivides but doesn’t allow me to change the division level in the “Geometry” like the standard mesh") I can’t even use the “Move” brush to pull areas of it out.

I’m not really sure if I’ve explained this fully enough, but can anyone offer any advice?

Thanks.

After you extract your mesh make sure to clear the mask. If an object has a mask on it when you subdivide the non masked parts will be subdivided but no new subdivisions will be created.

I’m sure I cleared the mask before… But obviously, I didn’t. Thanks very much for the advice!

Works perfectly now! Life saver.
