Mesh Extract problem

Hey all.

I’ve run in to this problem multiple times so far. I’m currently creating some bracers for a character i am working on. When trying to mesh extract from a mask it is as if the normals have been flipped and i cannot draw on the new mesh (appart from at the very edge of the new mesh). Just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem or possibly I am not extracting correctly.

The mesh you extracted is masked even though it may not look it. Select is as active in subtools then on canvas click ctrl-shift-A to clear the mask.
