merging two meshes

hello, so i’ve got a small problem. i’m building a character with four arms. i built a zsphere skeleton, converted to adaptive skin and am in the 3rd sub-level of detail. the character is in a rough form still, but i’m very happy with the model.
yeah, then i realized that i actually forgot to add the second set of arms. pretty dumb.
i tried to figure out a merge option but can’t find it. i duplicated the model, and kept the arms only. ( they need to be merged just below the ‘normal’ arms armpit area.
i can’t find a work around for this issue.
any help would be great.

subtool, merge visible. If you need the mesh to be a complete solid piece then you can dynamesh it, unifiy it, or retopo it.

i’ll give it a shot for sure.
i’ve already fixed my problem by exporting into xsi and adding the arms, but i’m always eager to learn new stratagies.
