First thank you for such a wonderful product. The regular updates to fix bugs and expansion of tools to use is overwhelming at times but keeps me in the program experimenting and learning with all of the new tools and faster ways to create objects.
I have a few questions that have come up with the 4R6 update.
In my C:\Program Files (x86)\Pixologic folder i now have the following folders.
- ZBrush 4 Trial
- ZBrush 4.0
- ZBrush 4R2
- ZBrush 4R4
- ZBrush 4R5
- ZBrush 4R6
- ZBrush 4R6.bak0
In all of these folders i have different brushes, textures, project files, alphas, light caps, scripts, tools and materials.
BEFORE I go on a copy and paste consolidation spree of previous versions folders to the latest version folder and delete the older version folder contents. I figure i would ask before i break something or loose data.
ZAlphas - Safe to copy previous versions folder contents to new version folder
ZBrushes - Safe to copy previous versions folder contents to new version folder
ZFibersPresets - Not a good idea to copy previous versions folder contents to new version folder
ZLightCaps - Safe to copy previous versions folder contents to new version folder
ZMaterials - Safe to copy previous versions folder contents to new version folder
ZNoiseMakers - Safe to copy previous versions folder contents to new version folder
ZProjects - Safe to copy previous versions folder contents to new version folder
ZScripts - Not a good idea to copy previous versions folder contents to new version folder
ZTextures - Safe to copy previous versions folder contents to new version folder
ZTools - Safe to copy previous versions folder contents to new version folder
Or is there a suggested do’s and don’ts for consolidating all the previous versions folders to the latest version folders that i have been unable to find in forums?
Thank you
