Maybe its so simply but i cant understand why sometimes when a merge 2 high detail subtools on 7 SD lvl i get new nice merged with all sd lvls model and why some time when i try to merge 2 simply cylinder on 3 sd lvl i get new model without sd lvls.
some time its depend from where was save subtool first time or what?

Double check to make sure that the subtools you are merging do in fact have an equal subdivision level, and that they’re both on the same level at the time of the merge. After the merge try using the Reconstruct Subd option to recreate your lower levels if they’re lost; if it spits up an error message, then it means your topology has changed and can no longer be recreated through subdivision. Try turning off the Weld option when merging if this is the case.
i tried evrething, its same sd lvl , but i did it in antoher way just go to modify topology and i insert all subtools this is faster then mergining because it dont need reprojecting it.
