Puzzle: Thanks for the feedback. I think you are absolutely correct about the scales. They are quite even and having them transition from large to small would come out better for sure. Not sure if I’ll work on it anymore though. I’ll probably just keep it in mind for future models. I very quickly modeled the base mesh in max. And to be honest, this was the first time I kept my base so simple and without much loops. Usually I tend to spend a whole lot of time on the base, but this works out well. (except maybe I should have added more polys on the bottom of the tail in the base mesh)
hugo dionisi: Thanks for the kind words. I tried to give the upper body a somewhat humanoid anatomy. It was a very fun exercise for me, and I’m glad you like it.
DELTATHUND3R: Thanks for the kind comments. I’m glad you like it.
Santis: Thanks for the kind words.
selwy: Thanks very much for the comments. It means a lot coming from you. I really enjoy your work, it’s top notch and very inspiring for me.
skinnybonez: Haha! I love that man. I never knew that was on ebay. I would totally buy that. Use it as reference or something. (although I suppose it might start stinking pretty bad after a while, being dead 'n all.) Thanks for the comments

Intervain: You make some great points. And I agree completely the material does look more artificial rather then organic. And I also kind of feel he has legs underneath it. I suppose I should have focused a bit more on how the underlying structure of that tail would be. I honostly didn’t think of that too much. But it’s something I’m definitely going to pay more attention to in the future. Thank you very much for the constructive feedback. I really enjoy your work and it’s great to get some feedback from you.
I really wasn’t expecting such positive feedback. And I’m happy I posted my work here on Zcentral. I’ll post more stuff in the future for sure.
