Your last render is definitely your best, and it is composed pretty well.
For inspiration (and awe) on the subject of composition and sheer skill, study the work of conceptual artist Stephan Martiniere: http://www.martiniere.com/covers.htm
looking pretty cool. im in the same boat as you, needing other eyes to point stuff out on a comp. i do have one suggestion to tie the piece together a bit more. you may want to add a more intense light source to the top of the staff when rendering so theres more cool light hitting the character’s right side.
Well im off to work on an island for the summer and i seriously hope Zbrush 4 is out by the time i come back cause im really tired of 3.2 crashing all the time!
Heres something i did for a friend! Any ideas on how it can be improved please dont hesitate!

The Joker is fantastic! Great concept and execution, Bravo!
Joker was nicely done. I do think the girl could benefit from wider hips/narrower waist. Right now her body is squarish/male. Look up waist-to-hip ratio in any search engine.
Nice job on the Joker, good execution.
Chalkman: Thanks mate im glad you like it!
VictorCS: I see what you mean about those hips, ill definitely look in to it!
Truubluu: Cheers!
Here’s a Dino im working on for an online Class i recently did with David Krentz. Still some detailing, texturing and pose to come!
Very nice work, look forward to seeing a final render of this!
Great! Dinosaur skin texture and body contours I like!
I like his shape and the details, good job! (Nice Matcap too)
Thanks for the comments guys, heres a test for some colouring:
Good job … looks great!
nice dino like itt …keep it up
…it’s a poy paint or texture…?
Thanks chalkman and l-mo and it is polypaint btw.
