Medusa

I started working on this last month, and it coming closer to completion. This is a render without textures. Below it is my original concept pencil drawing which I based the model on.

Great Concept…

Great work!

ps.
The sculptures ear details don’t seem as strong to me as the ones in the drawing do. :+1: :+1: :+1:

the snakes looks amazing! :+1:

OK the concept drawing is very well done and brings a look and feel rarely scene to this mythological character (that is older than most mythology she associated with).

I would suggest nailing the pose to match the drawing, if you work up a sculpt to match the drawing you will have achieved something worthwhile in anyone’s eyes.

Hey Belec,

Thanks for the comments buddy. Wasn’t really looking for opinions on the pose, but thanks anyway. I have a new piece I am working on that I think you are really going to like…

Not sure about what to make of your comment, “achieved something worthwhile”, but I did just look at some of your work… let me know if you would like some… perspective.

Me thinks somebody has a wee bit sensitive skin. However you can post as you wish on any thread I have running, it’s a free web.

Ohhh, nooo, you misinterpreted what I meant. I’m not at all sensitive, and I welcome your comments. I also likewise would love to be able to help you out with your 3D work, so let me know when you would like me to start

ROFL - Dude, let’s see how you get along with this one, it intrigues me. I’m a big fan of Medusa and the history (not the Clash of the Titans soap opera either), and I think you have a great style in the sketch that isn’t seen often.

As for work, well things are always happening, I’m just a little busy these days with tech development in order to pay for more of the stuff I enjoy. So we’ll see, you may at the very least get an invite into MoléCubes.

This is looking very nice. The drawing is beautiful! I like the density of the snakes, and their relative size and rythmical interplay better in the drawing than in the sculpt so far. Can’t wait to see more!
