MD3 - Exporting non 1x1 displacement

How may I export a 1024 x 512 displacement for UV space 1 of my map.
I have a attached a shot of the map.

I require a 4096x 2048 map for the head, and the same for the legs/arms section.

Each of these sections is a seperate UV space in max, offset from the base by 1. The other maps need just 2048x2048.

I can’t find a way to export using MD3 , yet specifying individual map sizes.

I’d appreciate some help and guidance here please.

ZBrush doesn’t use unusual map sizes due to their lack of efficiency. There is no way to force an odd size when dealing with MD3. At least, none that I know of.

What you would need to do is lay the UV’s out on a square, but use only one half of the square. Then after the map has been created, you can Photoshop it to cut away the half you don’t need.
