Maya2008 Extended to Zbrush 3.1 export

I’ve looked everywhere, usually not for Maya this problem occurs… I had this problem with one of my instructors and it seemed to be flopsy for him as well… It happened on and off for him on my models, but it ALWAYS happens with mine…

-Model in Maya
-Export to Zbrush (point groups & groups on, rest off) OBJ
-Import to Zbrush on the subtool on the lowest level
-Divide… MESH EXPLOSION

I don’t know what I’m doing wrong but it happens almost everytime… Im starting to wonder if its hidden settings in Maya I don’t know about thats re-ordering my points?

Aside from that I did it with just a simple cube, and it still explodes…

Even if its just my version of Maya please do tell… I’d definately down or upgrade just to fix this problem…

well nobody posted on this issue after many months… I figured it out myself.

Maya 2008 Extended opposed to 2008 or 2009, extended screwed everything up.
