I have a problem with the uv layout when passing from maya to zbrush. The workflow I follwed is this:
- make a simple cage mesh in maya
- import the obj in zbrush for sculping
- exporting back to maya for uv mapping
- import again in zbrush
Using this procedure a have no problems at all with exploding mesh, and I can use the new uv layout to export normalmap with zmapper as I expected. Problems cames when I save my work as a new ztool. When I reload the tool or just after saving it, if I try to regenerate normalmaps I see that my uvs are messed up!
Any ideas? Thanks!
