I am importing one low poly model from maya with automatic mapping to zbrush for highres sculpting,but when i am taking this in zmapper and extracting normal map ,its not coming right,very messy.Does zbrush support automatic mapping from maya?
When am laying the uvs of the same model in zbrush its coming fine.
Please help me out,its very important.
Odds are the UV’s aren’t all in the 0,0 to 1,1 space. That will create problems. Make sure that they are all in that space, with a bit of buffer around the edges as well.
If you continue to have trouble, we’ll need pictures.
Thank u for the reply.Am posting the images of normal maps.This is my procedure :
1. I have made a low poly face and helmet in maya and combined it,then
i have applied automatic mapping and imported into zbrush.
2. Then subdivided the mesh to level 6 (with smooth uvs on,tried with off also but dint worked ) and started sculpting.And then extracting maps from zmapper but its not giving any good result.
3. I have tried to extract normal maps within maya and its working perfectly fine,with same automatic uvs layout.
