So far I have avoided creating/learning normal/displacement/texture maps. But Now I would like to render some of my painted zmodels in maya/mental ray, my question is do I need to create all 3 types of maps or just one?
I think if you go on Youtube, you will find some ZBrush to Maya video tutorials.
I know how to bounce back and forth between the two. I just need to know what map to create for my painted model to get it into maya( painted ).
I’ve seen a few YouTube tutorials by cannedmushrooms that cover some of this. There seems to be very little current info on creating Disp/Normal maps, which unfortunately require more work than just hitting GoZ
