Guys im new to the site, but I have been using z-Brush from time to time.
I need some help right now. Im modeling a new dragon, I have already paint the deformation, and export normal and displacement map, Now in maya the Normal its working fine, and the displacement ALONE its working fine, with the mental ray surface aprox.
The problem is that they are not working well together. Maybe is because I export the displacement map via the default option in z-brush? I didnt use the multiDisplacement plugin for exporting the map? the thing is that maps that I have export in the past with this multiDisplacement have never work well for me.
I know how it is to export the map, cuz I have videos and tutorials, but this maps never work good with me in maya. The maps dont even look good, just a grey image most of the time, you now… all GREY! But the map that I export with the original function looks much better, with whites and greys variations.
Sooo heres a image showing the maps in my model, you can see how the two maps works well but not together. And looks like the surface aprox can be the issue. But Im using spatial, min 3, max 5, length 0.01 You now the usual stuff.
