Maya/Hardware rendering/ graphics card & Dual Monitors...

Hi all,

So i just got a seperate second monitor to hook up to my laptop today, and i notice that when in Maya if i try to use hardware/highquality rendering in the view port to see realtime normal mapping, etc – it says:

“Warning: High Quality Rendering mode is not supported by the graphics card. Switching to default rendering mode”

I never had that message when i only had one monitor hookedup. anyone know how i can fix this? Driver? or do i need to get a new graphics card or wha?

my graphics card is “ATI Mobility Radeon X300” ?

i know nothing about this stuff…so anyhelp would be greatly appreciated.

thanks!!

I think the reason you haven’t gotten any answers is that you’ve posted what is clearly a technical Maya question in what is a ZBrush forum. For that particular question, I’d go right to Autodesk’s support team.

i know youre most likely right - i just wanted to put the question to as many people as possible, plus i noticed there were a couple non-zbrush-centric troubleshooting questions here.

thanks anyhow
