Maya 2012 base mesh into Zbrush 4r3

I’ve been looking around but it’s hard to find concrete information on this.

I have a low res base mesh for a game in Maya. All Quads, many separate objects. I’m having a hard time figuring out how to group objects in Maya so that GOZ will send those groups of objects to Zbrush as 1 subtool.

Right now my Maya base mesh has around 100 separate objects, but I would like them imported as around 6 subtools.

Anybody know this?

It was easier than I thought. Zbrush imports each Maya object as a separate subtool, so you combine Maya objects until you have the right amount of objects for the amount of subtools you want in Zbrush, hit GOZ, and laugh heartily.

Surprised that no one bothered to reply to this question, maybe it was just so obvious.
