maya 2009 and Zbrush 3 isn't right...

Hey all,

As a result of my inquiry’s I actually took my stuff into mudbox, and they couldn’t help either… Surprise! I had the 3rd largest question being looked at in the boards! All they kept doing was bragging about how much better they are yet I’m not seeing it.

So, Here’s my dilemma… after using the great help from Scott’s teachings and using his settings in Maya 8.5-2008 I haven’t had a problem, but in Maya 2009! YIKES! I did a few simple characters, but the results are awful and bulbous and pretty bad. Both mudbox and zbrush both do something wiggy. Below is a picture of the zbrush model and then rendered (via Scott instruction) as a map file.

Any and all help appreciated!

So Scott SPencer’s method works for 8.5 but not for 2009?

Because I’m doing 2009 and I can’t get things to work right. Maybe I should try 8.5…

Well, his methods work great in Maya 2008 with a script…

I’m willing to sacrifice my lion to the creators of zbrush for answers… :smiley:

perhaps I’ll start a request form on here for some answers, and not wait for some guy to come out with a $$$ tutrial on how to do it. However I"m thinking if Zbrush people don’t come out with an answer quick they are practically giving mudbox a good fighting chance! :rolleyes:
