thanks for sharing
thanks a bunch!!
I´m not sure I understod the structure correctly.
three parts?
two half spheres one upon the other (internal and external) and one circular plane?
Is the internal sphere sliced at the front a little bit?
I´m sorry if I ask stupid questions.
Thanks Maxter buddy for this great little tutorial, tried it out right anyway and really had a great result, will post a sculpt later where I will mention you on for sure! Thanks buddy!:)
awesome! thanks for the break-down.
I’ve got a few questions, though: you said, the eye is made of 3 separate objects, the inner half sphere, the external sphere and the pupil (?). I’m guessing you assigned the pupil the flat material, so it won’t get any shading? What material did you give the inner half sphere? And lastly, did you pull the outer sphere outwards a little at the point where the lens is or did you not bother with that?
sorry for all the question, just trying to understand how you created those realistic eyes
hey thank you so much really amazing tutorial have been waiting for it
Great little tutorial Thanks Maxter
Thanks for the tutorial! Very nice of you to put this together! I really like the look of the work as well!
Peace-NickZ.
thanks boss
Awesome! Thanks so much. I actually watched your video of rendering this several times to try to figure out how you did the eye. This is a great help. Awesome work and thanks again!
Muchas gracias por el tutorial Maxter
Thanks for your contributions, useful and appreciated.
Thanks guys! glad this is helpful to everyone here
No problem man, the three parts are: the inner half sphere (white eye and iris), the circular plane (pupil) and the outer sphere (transparent layer). This last is the one with the toy plastic material and transparent property enabled.
That’s right!
You’re right on everything about the objects and yes, the pupil only have a dark color. This last one and the inner half sphere have the same shader as the thark bust: the basic grey material and wax preview enabled. The outer sphere is a perfect round ball;)
Thanks again!
I will have a look at your render settings. I tried it before but got a ‘milky’ eye when rendered from a side view.
Thank you so much Maxter! I have been working for something like six months with Zbrush and I have yet to create decent looking eye, but I’m sure with the help of your tutorial, I’ll be making eyeballs like a pro in no time. Now, if I can just get the rest of an organic sculpt to look good, I’ll be in good shape!
Thanks for posting the tutorial.
Thank you!
I think that happens when you assign a light color instead of a dark or black color to the outer transparent sphere. Another tip: be sure to get selected a different object than the transparent object otherwise the eyes might look a bit dull at render time.
I spent a bit less than six months trying to get it right;) but anyway I’m so glad to share it with all of you. Thanks!
Thanks alot for sharing this info and congrats on the great piece you got there
Great breakdown thanks for creating it.
thanks, i’ll give it a go on some of my models and give you the credit. Cheers
