MAX ---> ZBrush

Please excuse my ignorance, since I’m quite positive this has been posted before, but I can’t seem to find a thread using the Search function with an appropriate answer.

Anyways, I’m sure the thread title says it all. I am using 3DS MAX '09, and in the “file” drop down menu there is a click able that says “export”. Unlike many other people who have made tutorials on how to export models from 3D MAX to ZBrush as .obj models, I cannot seem to find the .obj clickable.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks.

uninstall 3d max and Zbrush.
Then, first, install 3d max and then reinstall Zbrush.
During installing of Zbrush, the program ask with which programm it will be working. Choose there your version of 3d max.
(sry if i confuse something )

may be this will help.

I do NOT think you should have to reinstall either ZBrush or 3ds Max.

It sounds like the 3ds Max OBJ import/export plugin just isn’t loaded.

Have you checked under > Customize > Plug-in Manager in Max to make sure the OBJ file importer and exporter plugin is automatically loading?

I’m using Max 2009, so your plug-in manager might be under a different menu, but it’ll be there.
