Max/Zbrush building pieces, creation for a NEWBIE

Wondering if anyone can give a breakdown of the steps/procedures they believe best to accomlish the following for a small indie game I’m working on. The Main objective: create building pieces to allow a large amount of different buildings to be created with minimal time and then partially destroy them (dystopic setting), and add a couple levels of damage to them to reflect damage in game.

So I will want to:
-create buildings in pieces in max (window frames, pillars, beveled and decorative elements)
-add detail/paint textures in zbrush to those pieces for normal/diffuse maps
-at some point (before or after zbrush) assemble the pieces to create different buildings
-add destruction to building in zbrush, as well as different levels of damage

Some of the things I’m wondering about, is how does zbrush deal with boolean use in max, I need to keep everything in quads right? And that’s it for now. Thanks for your help.
