MaterialPack 2 - Now Available

:DHehe now its working thx for the help:+1:

sorry if there is a stupid answer to this but I only bought into ZBrush yesterday ;O) I’ve put everything in the correct place but my palette shows no icons, just black boxes, anyone else have this problem

Cheers

when you unzip it …it unzips to material pack folder…if I remember correctly…it is the items inside that folder that need to be in the zstartup/zplugs folder so you might need to move the contents of that folder to the zplugs folder.

If i remember right it had one extra folder and that’s why it’s not showing up. the zsc files need to be in the zplugs not the material pack folder…hope I am making sense.

All sorted, thanks for that!

Thanks :+1: Is there a way to add more mat files to this

I’m using OSX 10.4, the folder __MACOSX contains an empty folder titled MaterialPack2Data, I’m terribly confused! What do I do???

This is an awsome plug in thanks

ok i unzipped the pack and i looked in my D:\Program Files\Pixologic\ZBrush2\ZData folder to see that i dont have a folder called Zplugs so i created one and dropped the materialpack2data and the materialpack2.zsc into it and then i start up zbrush to find that i have no new materilas whats wrong?

Read the instructions again… you’ll first need to delete what you just loaded including the Zplugs folder and load everything instead in the

D:\Program Files\Pixologic\ZBrush2[COLOR=White]ZStartUp\ZPlugs folder

(You’ll probably have to create a new ZPlugs folder in \ZStartup)

Rule is you NEVER put anything in the ZBrush2\Zdata folder… that’s for official ZBrush files only.

thanx very much for the reply i managed to figure it out i was looking in the wrong location within the program itslef to find the new materials silly me oh well thanx again

Thank you sir!

hi. I’m a zbrush newbie. I do not have a ZPlugs folder in my STartup folder …
so i created the folder … the button materialpack2 at the bottom of the material palette appears but it launches a window with empty thumbnails.
I found a ZPlugs folder in the Zdatra folder instead but the result is the same.
I know that i can reach single materials by just locating the zmt in the load material (with thumbnail also) so it’s not a huge problem but i’d like to use this plug in its full functionality. thanks in advance.

Infidel … go back to post #42 in this thread and work forwards from there. If still stuck, please post screen-shots of your ZStartUp > ZPlugs folder, the top few lines of the MaterialPack2Data folder (which should be a sub-folder of the ZPlugs folder above) and remove anything you’ve added to the ZBrush2 > ZData (and its sub-folders). But be careful with the latter.

they look real exciting, more fun for my palette
thanks alot

guys this works with z 3.1?

Just extract the materials into your Zmaterials folder. You only need the materials and the .psd thumbnails. Then, load them as you need them.

I want to ask the same question as wckedsunny did: does this work with zb 3.1? It doesn’t seem to work… vbmenu_register(ā€œpostmenu_384779ā€, true);

Actually I discovered that this works with 3.1 as well. You just have to go to material in the upper menu. I docked the material pallette to have quick access to it and the plugin works this way. I have the button there. So for those with ZB 3.1 try this way… Happy zbrushing

Thank you!

thanks,
