material/color wont fill

Hello,
I have a character with about 20 subtools. all but 1 fill color correctly. I have 1 tool that wont fill any rgd or material. I used subtool master and I selected the tool with rgb 100, mrgb on and used color/fill object. It wont fill. It is bizarre. There is no texture map. I turned polypaint colorize on and off. I cloned it, the clone wont fill either. So frustrating. Can anyone help me? I found someone else having the same problem here.

But his solution is long convoluted and really is kinda ridiculous. Is this a bug in the program? Is it known? Is pixologic gonna fix it?

Can you post the problem subtool? If you can, I’ll take a look.

After some frustrating moments I realized that if you have geometry layers in your mesh you cant fill color/ mat. So I baked my layers and now it fills like it should.

P.s. I couldnt see the geometry layers when it was a subtool. I could only see the layers when I cloned the tool. So I baked them, and then appended the baked clone as a new subtool.

Interesting, though I don’t understand why you couldn’t see the layers when it was a subtool.
