MatchMaker - conform radially?

Just a quick question: I’m interested in using MatchMaker to conform shapes radially around a form but does MatchMaker work based on the z axis of the canvas in relation to the subtool One wishes to conform to?

If so would I have to separate the forms/subtools I wish to conform to the under mesh/subtool and use MatchMaker to conform them individually turning around the form as I work - based on the angle of z projection?

Or am I barking up the wrong tree and thoroughly delusional?

Many thanks

I do believe Match Maker is dependant of the z axis of the canvas, yes. The edges of the form your matchmakeing can not excede the edges of the form(s) your matchmaking to. You can have as many subtools as you like underneath the form your matchmaking and it will conform to all of them, but it can not excede the edges of the subtools and also the subtools can not have any spaces between them.

Many thanks zber2. To check I understand you the forms I’m matchmaking can not extend past the outer profile (where the form curves away) of the subtool I am conforming to down the projected z axis?

also the subtools can not have any spaces between them.
So if I wish to matchmake all intended subtools at once they must butt up against each other? Can they overlap each other and react to each other as well as the form they are being conformed too?

Many thanks

Ah I see!! Thanks for the posted example above zber2. You were referring to there being no spaces between the subtools being conformed to. Aha!!

So if I wish to conform subtools so they overlap each other I can continue to add the subtools to be conformed to once they are conformed e.g if I wanted to conform leaf shapes so each overlapped the other as it moved radially around a cylindrical form
