Nice nice⦠It would be cool if you could also import the materials as we see here directly into animation software. Maybe Blender achieves something like that in the futureā¦
thanks sathe!
here is another try, there is alot similar out there, but just learning this stuff

sadunkal, you can, just need a mirrorball environment shader, it renders fast as hell as well. The only thing that is unique is the cavity setting. You can use Zbgenerated maps for this though, or AO. However im not sure you can do it in Blender, however MR 3.6 can for sure.
ps: cool skin, sathe
cool mats sathe
sathe can you upload matcaps to another server? Im not able to download them in czech republic. They are looking awsome.
great thank you a LOT
Several questions:
How do you get these custom materials to stay loaded into the material libray? So you donāt have to reload the materials again and again.
And can you upload more than one custom material at a time? How?
How do you get these custom materials to stay loaded into the material libray? So you donāt have to reload the materials again and again.
Two ways you can do that.
-
when you load them and use them in your model, save the ZBrush document. Then when you are next in ZBrush, load the document before your ZTool, and voilĆ ! the material is there too!
-
If in windows go to \Program Files\Pixologic\ZBrush3\ZData\Materials and drop them there. Careful though, put too many and your material library will take along time to load, too many and some will be off screen where you canāt get to them. You could remove some of the less used matcaps first if you like.
And can you upload more than one custom material at a time? How?
Put them in a .zip file first.
zbrush can read them when they are in zip form?
Urm⦠no! I thought you meant to upload to this site. Use method 2 to get more than one material into ZBRUSH if you want.
Or load a material manually, use it, load another one. Then save like in method 1.
EDIT: See post 175
THat worked with the directory.
yeah like dustbin said donāt put too many in the startup directory 'cause the load button will be greyed out at some point⦠I had that and it was mighty annoying⦠thankfully thereās a nifty script by svengali to keep a lot of mats neatly organized
