I understand how to fill the object with the M, RGB, and mRGB, but once I’ve added a customized matcap to a subtool, and have moved on to the next, how do i take that first matcap and put it on a different subtool?
I realize i could have saved them as a custom matcap and applied via fill object, but i didn’t save them:o Is there still a way to transfer the matcap properties to another subtool?
Usually if you click on the matcap icon and drag your mouse across the document, it will update to reflect whatever material is currently under your cursor. You could give that a shot to see if it picks up the material information that you baked into the first subtool.
Ahh messed with it a bit and got it to work. I was able to select the color as well which gave the results i was looking for. Thanks for the tip
