MatCap change

After I added a few subtools, I cannot change the MatCap of the main tool. Only the subtools change. What do I need to do?

I think I’ve asked a similar question in this forum before, but I forgot what the answer was or even if I got an answer at all. How do I list all the threads I’ve posted in?
