I’m using Zbrush R3 and I’m having an issue using layers. I’m attempting to do some blend shapes. I can mask on a layer normally, unless I stop recording. If I hit record again and attempt to work on that layer, masking acts like polypaint; it’s just pure black going onto the surface and not actually masking anything. I’m fairly new to Zbrush so I don’t know if this is a bug, or perhaps an option I don’t have ticked somewhere.
