I masked by intensity and now the masking won’t go away in any way. I tried by deleting the mask, inverting it, everything. I restarted Zbrush, restarted the computer, re-installed Zbrush. Nothing worked, the mask is still there.
Any idea on how to fix this?
Sorry, I meant mask by cavity.
Is Brush>Cavity Mask turned on, by chance?
No, I checked that and it wasn’t turned on. I’m working on a previously saved version, I just had to accept the loss of a few hours of work because I’ve come to think that the file just got corrupted somehow. I just reopened it and the mask is still there and it’s not moving in any way. I cannot even modify it, like selecting the inverse or adding and subtracting to the selection by dragging. If I click clear mask in the palette it looks like it does it but in effect the mask remains there, if I apply a brush it only woks in the cavities and if I click view mask in the palette it shows it again. It also gives me the tool masked in the file preview.
I haven’t used the cavity mask since, and it was the first time I used it actually. It may have to do with my computer, it gave me wierd problems on another model last week and I’m waiting for a new system to be delivered.
