Hi got a masking error here, can only mask the upper part of the minotaur or all of it, but if I mask all then klick inverse only the upper parts shown in the pic is unmasked, this has happend to me before but now I really need help.
How large is the model when viewed in the Tool>Preview menu? If it’s a lot larger than will fit in that window, that would explain the problem.
i’ve had this happen alot, too. it seems to happen after i have hidden part of the mesh, then masked… then showed the whole mesh again and tried masking something else.
here’s what works for me.
have thew full mesh visible, then from the masking sub menu in the tool palette, hit “clear”.
the use shift/click and drag the select (green) box over the whole mesh.
then hit “mask all” from the sub menu and you should see that the mask now covers the hole mesh. if it does- hit “clear” again, then paint new masks as needed.
i see obj. at top of your screen grab did you try > make polymesh > deformation > unify ? i always do when i import from other apps
I was having this self-same problem! It does seem to stem from hiding geometry. A nasty bug, for sure, and thanks for finding a way to save hours of work invested :D:D:D
