I’ve been away from Zbrush for a long time and am just getting back into it so am very rusty. I’ve just watched a video on YouTube that shows the making of a motorcycle sprocket using ShadowBox. The video shows a very sharp circular mask as the mask starter. I’ve tried to replicate the technique in this video, but I just can’t get as sharp a mask in shadow box as the one shown in the video. Does anybody know how this is done? I’ve tried creating a mask in Photoshop, but the results are pretty much the same as creating them using the Zbrush brushes. Thanks in advance.
What is the res of your Shadowbox set at? (I do not mean the alphas but res of the Shadowbox) and what is the Shadowbox Polish set to?
Try a Shadowbox res of 512 and the Polish to 90 and see how it effects the Shadowbox tool… Also, try the Topology Brush over the created Shadowbox tool.
I have not seen the video so do not know how it’s being done there. Maybe embed the youtube video or a link would help.
Thanks SpaceMan that does the trick - new to ShadowBox and find it a bit quirky. It’s a bit slow at 512 resolution, but I guess I’ll just have to play around with the settings and see what works best. Thanks for your help.
