Mask Flooding? [Answered]

Hello all!

Just a quick question. Is there anyway to flood or un-flood a particular area on a mesh with a mask?

For instance I have a sphere for example, masked entirely. Then while using the mask pen tool create an border shape that is unmasked, is there a function/feature that will allow you to clear the interior portion of the unmaking mesh clearing the mask inside the border?

The closest equivalent that I can compare it to is the magic wand tool in Photoshop, as for selection/deselection techniques.

Anywho, that is it. Thank you all! I look forward to hearing an answer!

As if masking but with alt will unmask.

There’s no paint bucket feature to flood an area with a mask. But the Lasso mask makes it pretty easy to mask complex shapes, or the Mask By Alpha for when things need to be precise.

Good info can be found here. There are many masking options. Thinking outside the box and experimenting are essential, as is having fun.
